2.1-2-0-6! Six wickets for no run. Yes, this perfect feat was achieved. During the South Asian Games Women's Cricket Competition in Pokhara, Nepal's Anjali Chand took six wickets and conceded no runs in their game against Maldives on Monday. Maldives were bowled out for 16, the sixth lowest total in women's Twenty20 Internationals and Chand ended with the best figures in women's T20I history as Nepal secured a 10-wicket win with 115 balls remaining. The efforts of Chand created a new world record. Chand's figures are the best in the history of Twenty20 Internationals, breaking the record of 6/3 set by Mali's Mas Elysa against China.

Chand even broke the record in men's Twenty20 Internationals, breaking the record of Deepak Chahar who took 6/7 against Bangladesh in Rajkot. Maldives were bowled out for the sixth-lowest total in women's T20Is, with Mali's 6 against Rwanda the lowest. With 115 balls remaining, this became the third-largest victory margin in terms of balls remaining in the format. Rwanda and Tanzania secured wins with 116 balls to spare against Mali in Rwanda.

None of the Maldives players reached double figures with Hamza Niyaz scoring nine runs. After two run-outs and two wickets by Karuna Bhandari, it was the Anjali Chand show as she ran through the lower middle order. Chand's first wicket was that of Maldives skipper Zoona Mariyam and she proceeded to take the wickets of Latsha Haleemath, Shaffaa Saleem, Eashal Ibrahim, Kinaanath Islamil and Shamma Ali. There were eight ducks in the Maldives batting line-up with Niyaz (9) and Hafsaa Abdulla the wicketkeeper scoring four runs. The remaining three runs were three wides.
