News of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) not allowing cricket team to leave for India citing security reasons made rounds on Tuesday night. Earlier, the Pakistan World T20 squad was all set to leave for New Delhi from Lahore on Wednesday afternoon despite prevailing uncertainty over security clearance being given to the team to travel to India for the mega-event.

Pakistan team was scheduled to fly to Kolkata where they would have their Open Media Session and a warm-up game against the West Indies before leaving for Dharamsala.

Although the Pakistan government is yet to officially announce that the Pakistan team has been cleared to go to India but the source said that the PCB had been told unofficially their tour was stopped.

On Tuesday, the Pakistan security delegation visited Dharamsala and met with concerned security officials and those of the BCCI.
