Rohit Sharma has been dominating the run-charts in limited-overs formats in 2019. Currently, he is the leading run-getter in ODIs in 2019 and his century opening stand with KL Rahul has put India in a dominant position against West Indies at the ADA-VDCA stadium in Vizag on Wednesday. However, this knock put him in an elite list of players in this achievement in List A cricket. List A cricket is one-dayers played at domestic and international level combined. When Rohit reached 36 with a drive to long on off left-arm spinner Kharry Pierre, he became the eighth player in the history of List A cricket to reach 11000 runs.
Rohit achieved the feat in just his 290th List A game and he joins seven other Indians who have reached this landmark in this format. Sachin Tendulkar is the leading run-getter for India in List A cricket, managing 21999 runs in 551 games at an average of 45.54 with 60 centuries and 114 fifties. Tendulkar is followed by Sourav Ganguly, the current BCCI president who hit 15622 in 437 games at an average of 41.32. Rahul Dravid is third on the list with 15271 runs at an average of 42 while MS Dhoni has 13353 runs at a staggering average of 50. Virat Kohli has 12966 runs and his average is a mind-numbing 58 and he is also on the cusp of reaching 13000 List A runs in the Vizag game. Mohammad Azharuddin and Yuvraj Singh are the other Indians to go past 11000 runs in List A cricket. Azharuddin has 12931 runs while Yuvraj 12663 runs.
Rohit's 71 and Kohli's unbeaten 70 during the Mumbai T20I against West Indies put them level on most runs in Twenty20 Internationals. Both batsmen are on 2633 runs. However, Rohit has taken 96 innings to get to the mark at an average of just 32. Kohli, on the other hand, has reached the mark in a staggering 70 innings. Kohli aces Rohit in a couple of factors.
The Indian skipper has a mammoth average of 52 in Twenty20 Internationals and he is the only player currently in the history of cricket to have an average of 50+ in all three formats. He also has the most fifties in the format with 24, having notched up his fastest-ever fifty when he blasted the milestone in just 21 balls. However, Rohit is the ultimate six-hitting machine in limited-overs format. In Twenty20 Internationals, he has 120 sixes which is the most in this format.

When he hit his first six at the Wankhede, Rohit became the third player after Shahid Afridi and Chris Gayle to hit 400 international sixes. He also has four centuries to his credit in the format, which is the most by any player. The leading run-getters in List A cricket are surprisingly dominated by the England players. Graham Gooch is the leading run-getter in List A cricket of all time with 22211 runs at an average of 40 in a career spanning 24 years. Graeme Hick is second with 22059 runs at an averahe of 41.3.
