Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar was on Monday honoured at the launch of a gymkhana named after him in Mumbai. The official renaming of the Kandivili ground as Sachin Tendulkar Gymkhana Club was held on Monday.
The sports complex in Kandivili will now be known as 'Sachin Tendulkar Gymkhana'.
Both Sachin and his wife Anjali were present at the occasion. Singer Shaan also enthralled the crowd with his chartbusters.
During the event a documentary on Sachin's journey was shown on the big screen.
In the documentary several players mentioned about their relationship with the master blaster.

Rahul Dravid, Anil Kumble also shared their memories and on-off field moments with Sachin.
His complete journey of 16 years, 7 months and 17 days was shown on the wide screen.
The documentary ended with a thank-you note for Sachin.
Later, several ministers and officials were felicitated. Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan also spoke during the felicitation ceremony.
Finally it was the master's turn to come on stage.
Once on stage, Sachin said in Marathi, "I would have spoken in Marathi but the West Indies Team is also present, so I would continue in English."
He added, "Thank you very much for all the love, respect and care you have given me. Playing for India is a great honour for me. My association with Club goes back a long time. I want to thank the MCA for making the nets available for me at any time of the day. I am also humbled to see the honour. It really feels special to see my name at the entrance."
