With complete domination of the Indian fast bowlers, India registered a comprehensive win against Bangladesh in its first pink test played at Eden Gardens, Kolkata on Sunday. Bangladesh were bundled out in the first session of day 3 itself. During commentary, cricketer-turned commentator Sanjay Manjrekar raised instances of batsmen getting hit during the game to which cricket expert and commentator Harhsa Bhogle suggested that post-mortem of the game must be done, as he considered visibility of the pink ball with white sight screen a big factor.

Manjrekar responded with the fact that the way slip fielders have taken the catches, visibility is not a factor. He added, “The texture of the ball is an issue.” "We just need to ask the players what they think," replied Bhogle. Manjrekar said, “You need to ask, for those who have played cricket, it's evident it can be seen well.”

In no mood to let things go, Bhogle argued, "The only reason you need to ask is, having played cricket should never be a limitation or a ceiling to learning. We would never have had T20 cricket otherwise.”

The banter concluded with Manjrekar saying, "Point taken, don't agree."

Earlier, fifers from pacers Ishant Sharma and Umesh Yadav and a classy ton from skipper Virat Kohli led India to a 2-0 series sweep as they thrashed Bangladesh by an innings and 46 runs in the historic Pink Ball Test at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. With this, India became the only team to register four consecutive wins by an innings and more. Also, this was their longest haul of seven consecutive wins in Test cricket.
