Virat Kohli's Indian cricket team will be aiming to seal the series against South Africa by winning the final Twenty20 International in Bangalore.

New Delhi:

India started their 'Mission 2020' in grand style when they defeated South Africa by seven wickets in the Mohali Twenty20 International. Virat Kohli mastered yet another chase. The Indian cricket team skipper has mastered the art of effortlessness so smoothly that it seems nothing is impossible for him. His unbeaten 72 in Mohali shattered records and it once again showed that in limited overs batsmanship, there is no one better than Kohli. The bowling was good in patches with Navdeep Saini bouncing back but Deepak Chahar was simply brilliant.

With India looking at bowlers who can bat in this format, Krunal Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja give the team plenty of depth. It was this bowling depth that stifled South Africa, who did not help themselves by losing wickets at crucial times.

The Proteas had a plan to go after the Indian bowling. For a time, it worked. Quinton de Kock and Temba Bavuma shared a wonderful partnership but in the quest for acceleration, they stumbled. South Africa's plan to powerfully hit India out of the attack fell flat and all it needed was Kohli to unfurl his masterclass and get India over the line.

Stats and weather

The M Chinnaswamy stadium is a high scoring ground and the small boundaries make this a spectators delight. Kohli is back in his den, having played so many wonderful knocks for Royal Challengers Bangalore at this venue. Having done well in Mohali, Kohli will be determined to give India their second consecutive Twenty20 International series win over the Proteas.

However, when it comes to international matches, the venue has not been helpful for India. In four international games, they have won two and lost two. In the previous encounter against Australia, they failed to defend 191 against Australia thanks to a Glenn Maxwell blitz off 113 off 55 balls that saw Australia win the two-match series 2-0.

The weather in Bangalore is predicted for 20 percent of rain. However, with the M Chinnaswamy stadium employing the state of the art sub-surface drainage system, the chances of wet outfield holding up play is next to impossible. One can expect a full match to take place but they must be hoping that the rain does not pour continuously so that play cannot happen.
