Jyoti Randhawa hung in at one-over through eight holes on a windy day that was once again hit by rain at the the CJ Invitational Hosted by KJ Choi even as his young colleague, Gaganjeet Bhullar, seemed certain to make an early exit on Saturday.

Kim Tae-hoon of Korea, with three birdies on the trot from sixth to eighth, moved to eight-under with 10 more holes to play in the second round when play was suspended due to darkness.

A total of 59 players will resume the second round on Sunday.

Kiradech Aphibarnrat shot 71 after his first round 67 to take the second round clubhouse lead at seven-under 137 in windy conditions. Behind him were Rikard Karlberg and Korean Maeng Dong-seop, both of whom shot 69 in first round and were three-under through 10 holes in second.

Randhawa, who shot 67 in first round to be tied third is tied fifth at four-under for 26 holes, despite running into a double bogey early on the third hole. Birdies on fifth and seventh put him back on even keel before a bogey just ahead of the suspension set him back by one.

Bhullar (77-84) apart, Himmat Rai (69-80) looked certain to miss the cut as he struggled in the second round. Bhullar carded a horrendous 12-over 84, which included a dreadful 10 on par-4 ninth, where everything went wrong for Bhullar.

Himmat, who had opened with a 69 in the rain-hit first round that was completed this morning followed up with a 80 that included a triple bogey on par-5 14th and a double bogey on 18th.

Among the Indians who had finished 36 holes Rahil Gangjee looked assured of action on weekend as he carded 74 following his first round 71.

Indians yet to complete second round included Anirban Lahiri (69 and three-over through 10 holes in second), Digvijay Singh (71 and one-over through seven, C Muniyappa (70 and four-over through six in second) and Sujjan Singh (74 and two-over through six).

Speaking on his first round, Randhawa said, "I played well and didn't make any bogeys. I'm really happy with my first round performance because I haven't been playing too often.
