The hype around India versus Pakistan match in the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 can be understood with the fact that it is estimated to fetch over 1.5 billion television audience and the soccer world cup final attracted 1.6 billion viewers. Whenever the two arch-rivals play against each other, there is unbridled passion both on the field and off it among fans. This time also, billions of people are waiting for the India vs Pakistan game, which, for many of them, is no less than the final of the World Cup.

However, as it has been the case in this World Cup, rain is very likely to play spoilsport during the India vs Pakistan clash. According to the weather forecast in Manchester, intermittent showers, enough to disrupt the marquee clash between India and Pakistan, are expected during the day.

Besides being the much-hyped contest, India vs Pakistan match is also significant for both teams in terms of semi-finals qualification. So far, India has played three games and won two of them, while their third match against New Zealand was a washout.

Pakistan, on the other hand, have lost two games after trouncing the hosts England in their first encounter. They had to share points with Sri Lanka as the match had to be abandoned due to rain. If Pakistan hope to qualify for semis, they need to win at least 4 of their remaining five matches.
