Former England skipper Michael Vaughan and Sanjay Manjrekar, who has been in the limelight for all sorts of 'known' reasons were seen indulging in a Twitter banter after the former took multiple shots at the cricketer-turned commentator over his 'bits and pieces' comment on Ravindra Jadeja.
In the high ocatne clash between India and New Zealand, the backcaps were off to a forgettabke start, losing Martin Guptill early in the innings. Further, seeing assistance from the pitch, Indian skipper Virat Kohli introduced wrist spinner Ravindra Jadeja, who with right lines helped India with second wicket. The ball sneaked through Nicholls' bat and pad to crack the stumps as Jadeja broke the 68-run stand between Nicholls and skipper Kane Williamson.
Soon after Jadeja's crucial breakthrough for India, Michael Vaughan took to Twitter to pull Manjrekar's leg over his 'bits and pieces' comments on the Indian bowling-all rounder.
Bloody hell Bits & Piece can Spin it .... #CWC19— Michael Vaughan (@MichaelVaughan) July 9, 2019
And now, Vaughan has claimed that Manjrekar has blocked him on Twitter.
Sanjay Manjrekar was subjected to heavy trolling on internet after he called India bowling all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja a 'bits and pieces' cricketer and said the left-arm spinner would never be his first choice for an ODI match. However, after an impressive performance from Jadeja against Sri Lanka in a World Cup league fixture, Manjrekar called the Saurashtra all-rounder a 'street-smart' cricketer.
