New Delhi:

MSD's return implies it's back to winning ways for Chennai. It's their final league game at home and they have ensured that they have guarded their fortress. Imran Tahir's 4 wickets for 12 runs and MS Dhoni's 44 off 22 helped them a thumping victory over the Capitals, who were placed at number one spot before this game. A win here has helped men-in-yellow to occupy the top spot, which means they will play Qualifier 1 at home.  SCORECARD

WICKET: Such has been day for CSK today that even the least athletic fielder in their unit manages to break the stumps. Thrown wider of off, Suchith leans across and pushes it to point. Watto sprawls across, collects it and nails the stumps at the non-striker's end

WICKET: Delhi Capitals last hope departs. Shreyas Iyer was taken in flight there. OUT for 44.

WICKET: Oh dear! Wickets are falling like pack of cards here. Another wicket down. Chris Morris didn't trouble the scorers.

WICKET: Trappped right in front. Ingram departs for 1. Jadeja joins the party!

WICKET: Imran Tahir's love affair with first over continues. MS Dhoni introduced him into the attack, and he didn't disappoint. Sends Pant back to pavilion.

The powerplay slighly favors the host here as they were able to send the openers back to the pavilion. The onus is now on Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant to shape Capitals innings. After 6 overs, it's 59/2.

Chennai 179/4 in 20 overs vs Delhi (Suresh Raina 59, Jagadeesha Suchith 2/28)

150 up for Chennai Super Kings!

WICKET: Chris Morris bowls a slower one and Ravindra Jadeja couldn't time it to perfection. A well made 25 runs from Jadeja's willow comes to an end.

The partnership between Ravindra Jadeja and MS Dhoni now jumps to 38. With 140 runs on the board and still 2 overs to go, Chennai will be targeting a score between 160-165.

Chennai Super Kings is trying to end the innings on high. Ravindra Jadeja has been the aggressor as the score looks 116/3 in 16 overs.

WICKET: Faf du Plessis tried to up the scoring rate and he tried to go after Axar Patel. The second wicket departs. MS Dhoni has come to the crease now.

First six of the CSK's innings came from Faf du Plessis' bat.

Delhi Capitals are right on top here. Faf du Plessis is struggling to pace the innings. Capitals bowlers are bowling in the right areas and Super Kings after 12 overs is 69/1.

ALERT: 50-run partnership between Faf du Plessis and Suresh Raina.

The runs have been hard to come by. Chennai has not been able to break jinx. Faf du Plessis has already consumed a lot many deliveries, Raina has been the aggressor. After 10 overs, it's 53/1.

50 up for Chennai Super Kings! It took them 9 overs to get to this total.

Both Suresh Raina and Faf du Plessis are trying to rebuild Chennai Super Kings innings. They lost Shane Watson early in the innings, and now looking to play with full fortitude. After 8 overs, it's 41/1.

The powerplay belongs to Delhi capitals here. They have been able to restrict the hosts, and executed their plans beautifully. After 6 overs, it's 26/1.

Two bloundaries off the fifth over. One came of Faf du Plessis' bat and other from Raina's. Chennai will look to up the scoring rate from here on. After 5 overs, it's 17/1.

It took Chennai 26 balls to score its first boundary.

WICKET: It was a short of a length delivery, runs weren't coming and Shane Watson had to go after it. He couldn't time it, and straight into the hands of mid-wicket fielder. First wicket departs! Watson gone for DUCK!

After first two overs, Chennai Super Kings has been able to score just 2 runs. It has been a display of discipline and proper planning. Good start by Capitals.

Faf du Plessis and Shane Watson are out in the middle. Delhi players are there too. It's game time.

Here are the playing XI for two sides:

Delhi Capitals: Prithvi Shaw, Shikhar Dhawan, Shreyas Iyer(c), Rishabh Pant(w), Colin Ingram, Sherfane Rutherford, Axar Patel, Jagadeesha Suchith, Sandeep Lamichhane, Amit Mishra, Trent Boult

Chennai Super Kings: Shane Watson, Faf du Plessis, Suresh Raina, Ambati Rayudu, MS Dhoni(w/c), Kedar Jadhav, Ravindra Jadeja, Dwayne Bravo, Deepak Chahar, Harbhajan Singh, Imran Tahir

TOSS: Delhi opt to bowl

The toss is scheduled to happen in 30 minutes time and team winning the toss will look to have a bat first as chasing has been difficult at Chennai wicket. However, this remains to be seen if toss-winning captain goes with the same thought.

Shreyas Iyer's Delhi Capitals on the other hand have won four from their last five matches and look a much settled unit after slightly hot and cold start to their campaign.

With Dhoni likely to comeback into the playing XI, CSK would be aiming to return to winning ways. Shane Watson's form at the top of the order will serve as a much-needed boost to the team. Besides Dhoni, all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja is set to return from illness as well.

MS Dhoni-less CSK lost their return leg against Mumbai Indians in their previous game at the Chepauk, their third in last four games and seem to be losing form at the wrong time.

Hello and a warm welcome. We are all set to witness another crackerjack of an encounter as MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings hosts Delhi Capitals at Chepauk in Chennai.
