Kings XI Punjab chose to bowl against Sunrisers Hyderabad and they made an excellent start, restricting the powerful Sunrisers Hyderabad batting line-up and giving away just two boundaries in the first six overs. Jaoony Bairstow fell cheaply while Vijay Shankar tried to resurrect the innings with David Warner. The left-hander showed his mettle and slammed his 39th fifty but some brilliant hitting from Deepak Hooda, in which he hit two boundaries and a six in his last three balls have boosted Sunrisers Hyderabad to 150/4. In response, KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal blasted fifties and Rahul held his nerve to give Kings XI Punjab a thrilling win against Sunrisers Hyderabad by six wickets and with one ball to spare.
