The 2015 Formula One season would feature only 19 races as the German Grand Prix has been cut from this season’s calendar.
Hockenheim hosted the event in 2014, which was won by Mercedes’ Nico Rosberg, but is supposed to alternate with the Nurburgring.
However, the Nurburgring has changed ownership and recoiled from paying the hosting fees for the 19 July race, the BBC reported.
Hockenheim, which has a contract for 2016, was reportedly asked to step in but track officials failed to agree terms with Formula One commercial boss Bernie Ecclestone.
The last time Germany was absent from the Formula One calendar was in 1960, the report added.
