New Delhi:
A coaching camp will be conducted for India’s junior rifle/pistol and shotgun shooters next month as part of preparations for the junior international tournaments lined up ahead in the year.
The camp for rifle and pistol shooters will be held from April 3-18 under the guidance of chief coaches Deepali Deshpande and Jaspal Rana, a multiple-time Asian Games and Commonwealth Games medallist, at the Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Ranges here.
The country’s young shotgun shooters will be honing their skills from April 2-12 under the supervision of chief coach Vikram Chopra at the same venue.
A total of 45 male and 40 women shooters will be undergoing the camp in rifle-pistol category.
While there will be 37 men, 15 women shooters will be training for shotgun events.
