Jaipur:
S Sathish Kumar and Minati Sethi emerged victorious in Men’s 77kg and Women’s 58kg categories, respectively in the 67th Men & 30th Women Senior National Weightlifting Championship here today.
Sathish lifted a total of 312kg (140 +172) for the first-place finish, while Kojum Taba lifted 301kg (128 +173) took the second place and Tej Singh grabbed the third place with an effort of 300kg (132+168).
In 58kg women’s section, Manati lifted 195kg (83+ 112) to finish on top, while N Sumanbala Devi 181kg (81+100) won the second position followed by Harkirat Kaur 174kg (76+98).
Meanwhile, Papul Changmai bagged the gold in Men’s 69kg category with an overall lift of 290kg (130+160). R Rengaraj 277kg (124+153) won the silver and Naveen Chandra 273kg (124+149) settled for bronze.
