Washington:

A ski jump record set by a Slovenian ski-jumper lasted only 24 hours as another jumper broke his record at a World Cup event in Vikersund, Norway.

The men's ski jump world record was broken twice in two days as on Saturday Slovenia's Peter Prevc became the first man to jump 250 meters, beating the previous record of 246.5 metres set in 2011 by Norway's Johan Remen Evensen, the BBC reported.

However, Prevc's record only lasted 24 hours as Norway's Anders Fannemel went 1.5 metres further on Sunday to set a new world record of 251.5 metres, the report added.
