London:
Wimbledon fans' favourite Andy Murray on Friday (June 28) got through the third round in straight sets against Tommy Robredo of Spain.
Britain's Murray breezed through the first two sets, then almost stuttered in the third when Robredo took him to 5-5, but he broke with a great backhand right into a corner, then won the match when the Spaniard hit the net.
The man who earlier on Friday was expected to be Murray's toughest opponent en route to the final, Spanish 15th seed Nicolas Almagro, was beaten by Poland's Jerzy Janowicz, the 24th seed.
Janowicz gave a vivid demonstration of his talent on Centre Court, including serving 30 aces, to reach round four for the first time, overpowering Almagro 7-6 6-3 6-4 to set up a clash with Juergen Melzer.
