New Delhi:
Indian tennis star Sania Mirza and her partner Barbora Strycova lost the Miami Open womens double final on Monday to debutantes Canadian Gabriela Dabrowski and Chinese Xu Yifan.
The third-seeded pair was unable to offer any resistance and lost to the unseeded newcomers in straight sets of 6-4 and 6-3.
The winning team displayed a fabulous game, while winning 70 percent of their first serve points in comparison to just 54 percent by Mirza and Strycova.
Earlier, the Indo-Czech pair of Sania and Barbora had staged a brilliant comeback in the semi-final clash of the tournament on Saturday to script a 6-7 6-1 10-4 against their fifth-seeded opponents.
