Continuing her position of being World No.1 Serena Williams successfully secured her WTA Championships title by beating Li Na by a difference of 2-6, 6-3, 6-0 in Istanbul.

Williams excitedly confessed that she had to keep going, hang in there and it was amazing to be able to win the championship.

Serena finished the year by bagging the prize money of 12,385,572 dollars, breaking the all-time women's record set last year by Victoria Azarenka, who won 7,923,920 dollars, according to the reports.
