After disrupting the telecom industry, India’s richest man Mukesh Ambani has now sent ripples across the Direct to Home (DTH) firms with the announcement of Reliance Jio's bundled broadband, Jio Fiber, earlier introduced as Jio Giga Fiber. The fixed-line broadband services from Jio will be launched on September 5, after a year of beta testing the services.

The other key feature is Jio First-Day-First-Show service that will allow premium Jio Fiber customers to watch movies the same day they release in theatres.
