The victim filed a complaint against the website after the company refused to compensate and claimed that he had signed the courier boy’s digital log after taking possession of the parcel.
Tabrez Mehboob Nagaralli, the complainant said, “The delivery boy left after taking my digital signature. A friend of mine and the watchman were near me as I unpacked the box. When I finally did, I was shocked to find a pink soap bar’’.
He also called the Flipkart’s customer care and the executive promised to resolve the issue by January 25 but no action was taken until January 29.
Finally, he approached the Byculla Police Station on Wednesday to lodge a complaint against the website.
Avinash Shingte – Senior Police Inspector of Byculla Police Station said, “We have registered a case of cheating against Flipkart and its courier service. We will soon question the delivery boy and other people associated with the delivery’’.
Flipkart spokesperson has assured that they are investigating the matter and will resolve the iissue at the earliest.
Meanwhile, Nagaralli bought iPhone 8 on EMI option from the website and now is forced to pay instalment for the same without receiving the actual product.
