Xiaomi has recently launched the much-awaited Redmi K20 and the Redmi K20 Pro in India. Unfortunately, since the smartphones have gone official in India, Xiaomi has faced a lot of criticism due to the prices of Redmi K20 and the Redmi K20 Pro. Amidst criticism, Redmi K20 and the Redmi K20 Pro has finally gone on sale in India for the first time.
It is to be noted that Redmi K20 and the Redmi K20 Pro is available for buying in India on Flipkart, Mi.com and Mi Home store. The sale, which began at 12 noon, will be live until the stock lasts. However, Xiaomi has promised enough stock for the Redmi K20 series of phones.
All three colours of the Redmi K20 and the Redmi K20 Pro i.e. Flame Red, Glacier Blue and Carbon Fiber Black are available for purchase. In the meantime, Xiaomi India has confirmed to make both the smartphones available across all retail partners or Mi Preferred partners in next few days.
Both the Redmi K20 and the Redmi K20 Pro come in two RAM and storage variants in India. The India price of the Redmi K20 and the Redmi K20 Pro start at Rs 21,999 and Rs 27,999. To be more specific, the 6GB RAM and 64GB storage variant of Redmi K20 costs Rs 21,999. The 6GB RAM and 128GB storage version i.e. top variant of Redmi K20 is available at Rs 23,999.
On the other hand, the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage version of Redmi K20 Pro costs Rs 27,999. The 8GB RAM and 256GB storage version i.e. top variant of Redmi K20 Pro is available at Rs 30,999.
Coming to the launch offer, the phone maker has partnered with ICICI Bank to offer Rs 1,000 instant discount to buyers. This means, after applying the ICICI offer buyers will be able to buy the Redmi K20 for Rs 20,999 and Redmi K20 Pro for Rs 26,999. However, only ICICI debit and credit card users can avail the benefit. Buyers can also get Rs 1,000 off on EMI transactions. Further, the buyers with Airtel connection will get double data benefit on buying the Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro.
As far as the specifications are concerned, both Redmi K20 and the Redmi K20 Pro will come with 6.39-inch Full HD display with 19:5:9 aspect ratio with no notch present on the screen. The Redmi K20 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 while the Pro variant runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 855.
The Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro will be equipped with triple camera setup at the back with one being a 48 MP Sony IMX586 sensor coupled with 13 MP and 8 MP camera lens. For selfies, the smartphones will have a 20 MP pop out camera with AI technology.
The Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro are fuelled by a 4000mAh battery with fast-charging technology. In the meantime, Weibing has claimed that these phones can be charge 58 % in just 30 minutes and complete charge in 74 minutes. Interestingly, these two handsets also can be a good option as it has Game Turbo 2.0 for gaming purposes.
