Xiomi recently announced that it has over two million Redmi Note 7 Pro and Redmi Note 7 smartphone units in India. After the grand success of Redmi Note 7 Pro and Redmi Note 7, Xiomi is all set to launch the Redmi Note 7S  in India on May 20.

Yes, you read it right. In a tweet, Xiaomi India VP Manu Kumar Jain  on Friday, revealed that the Redmi Note 7S would be the next 48-megapixel camera phone in the Redmi Note series in the country. The tweet also confirms the launch date of the new Redmi Note phone that is set for May 20.

The teaser image posted with Jain's tweet confirming the Redmi Note 7S will get a Red colour variant. As per a teaser page set up by Flipkart, the upcoming Redmi Note 7S smartphone will be available on its websites and apps when released.

In addition to Flipkart, the smartrphone will be offered via Mi.com, Mi Home stores, Mi Studio outlets and Mi offline partner stores in the country.

Well, the new phone will join the Redmi Note 7 Pro that was launched in India back in February this year with a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 camera sensor at the back. Importantly, the Redmi Note 7S could come as a superior variant of the India Redmi Note 7 version that arrived alongside the Redmi Note 7 Pro earlier this year.

Redmi Note 7S will be a part of the smartphone family that already has the Redmi Note 7 Pro at Rs 16,599 and Redmi Note 7  at Rs 11,295 as the two latest models. The new phone, however, is likely to range between the Redmi Note 7 Pro and Redmi Note 7 to attract new customers.

Xiaomi India has already confirmed that it will soon launch the first flagship smartphone named as Redmi K2.0. The self-proclaimed Flagship Killer 2.0 will feature the Snapdragon 855 and a 48MP camera and it will challenge OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 pro.
