Samsung finally unveils the much-anticipated and its flagship smartphone Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
Samsung Galaxy S9 comes with 5.8-inch display while Galaxy S9 Plus had 6.2-inch display with an aspect ratio of 18:5:9(Infinity Display).
The smartphones are powered with a 64-bit octa-core Exynos 9810 processor with 6GB of RAM and will be available in 3 variants – 64GB, 128GB and 256GB.
Talking about its camera, the Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ has dual-lens camera setup of 12-megapixel telephoto and 12-megapixel wide-angle lens with an aperture of f/2.4 and f/1.5 respectively.
And, there is a 8-megapixel camera in the front for selfies with an aperture of f/1.7. It also has a slow-motion mode and a ‘auto slo-mo’ feature which can record a slow-motion video of any moving object in the frame.
Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ runs on Android Oreo 8.0 operating system and is powered by latest Samsung Knox Security Solutions.
Both the handsets are water and dust resistant and will be available in Midnight Black, Titanium Gray, Coral Blue and Lilac Purple.
Galaxy S9 is powered by a 3,000mAh battery and Galaxy S9+ comes with 3,500mAh battery.
On the security front, both the smartphones offer facial recognition along with a Iris scanner. It also has a fingerprint scanner at the back just below the camera lenses.
Some of the Other features includes Samsung Pay, DeX support, USB C-Type port, Bluetooth 5, dual stereo speakers by Harman which offers Dolby Digital 360 surround sound.
The memory of the handset can be expanded upto 400GB.
It is expected to arrive in selected markets from March 2018 and booking for the handset is currently available at Rs 2,000.
