Vivo S1 was finally launched in India on Wednesday at the starting price of Rs 17,990. However, the smartphone has gone on sale via offline retailers on Thursday. Yes, you read it right. The key features of Vivo S1 include a MediaTek Helio P65 SoC, a triple rear camera setup, in-display fingerprint sensor, face unlock, Halo FullView display and a 4,500mAh battery. It is to be noted that this is the first S-series phone Vivo has launched in India.
It is to be noted that only the base 4GB RAM + 128GB storage variant is now up for sale from brick-and-mortar stores of partner chains such as Reliance Digital, Poorvika, Big C, Lot, Sangeetha, Croma and Vijay Sales.
The 4GB RAM + 128GB storage variant of Vivo S1 costs Rs 17,990 while the price of 6GB RAM + 64GB storage model has been set at Rs 18,990. On the other hand, the price of 6GB RAM + 128GB storage option of Vivo S1 has been set at Rs 19,990.
Coming to the offers of Vivo S1, online buyers will get 7.5 per cent cashback on HDFC Bank debit and credit card EMI transactions, benefits worth Rs 10,000 from Jio, Paytm cashback when using Paytm in shops and additional 10 per cent exchange value on Instacash.
As far as the design of the smartphone is concerned, Vivo S1 sports a waterdrop-style notch with a slight chin at the bottom of the display. The smartphone comes equipped with a triple rear camera setup at the back, a gradient panel glossy finish and an in-display fingerprint sensor. Interesting. Isn’t it?
Vivo S1: Specifications
Vivo S1 features a 6.38-inch full-HD + Super AMOLED capacitive multi-touch display with a waterdrop-style notch. It runs Funtouch OS 9 based on Android Pie. Under the hood, the smartphone has an octa-core MediaTek Helio P65 MT6768 SoC paired with 4GB and 6GB of RAM options. Vivo S1 comes with 64GB and 128GB of onboard storage choices.
On the imagining front, Vivo S1 comes equipped with a triple rear camera setup that houses a 16-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.78 lens. The setup also includes an 8-megapixel secondary sensor with an f/2.2 wide-angle lens and a 2-megapixel tertiary sensor with an f/2.4 lens. On the front, there is the 32-megapixel selfie camera that comes with an f/2.0 lens.
Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, and Micro-USB with USB OTG support. Sensors onboard include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, e-compass, proximity sensor, virtual gyroscope, and in-display fingerprint sensor. The phone packs a 4,500mAh battery. It measures 159.53x75.23x8.13mm. The phone comes in Cosmic Green and Skyline Blue colour options.
