Vivo, the Chinese smartphone-maker, has finally launched Y12 smartphone in India. The smartphone comes only in one variant with 4GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage and it will cost Rs 12,490. The key highlights of the Vivo Y12 are its design, massive 5000mAh battery and triple rear camera system.
The Vivo Y12 is features a 6.35-inch HD+ LCD display that offers a resolution of 720 × 1544p. The smartphone is powered by MediaTek Helio P22 processor paired with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Interestingly, the phone runs Funtouch OS 9 based on Android 9.0.
As far as the optics are concerned, the Vivo Y12 is equipped with three cameras on the back and single on the front. On the back, the smartphone has a primary 13-megapixel camera, secondary 8-megapixel camera and the third one includes a 2-megapixel sensor. The triple rear camera setup is paired with a flash. On the front, the phone comes with an 8-megapixel selfie camera.
It further comes with several scene modes including PPT, Professional, PDAF, Palm Capture, Voice Control, Time-Lapse, Slow, Live Photos, HDR, Watermark, AI Face Beauty, Camera Filter, Portrait Mode, Panorama, Portrait Bokeh (single front camera), Super Wide-Angle Camera.
The smartphone, which comes with support for Dual SIM, is backed by a 5000mAh battery. It comes in two colours i.e. Burgundy Red and Aqua Blue. On the competition front, the Vivo Y12 is up against Redmi Note 7 Pro, Realme 3 Pro, among others in the Indian market.
In May 2019, the Vivo Y15 was launched in the Indian market. The dual SIM smartphone has the lone 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant. The smartphone runs Funtouch OS 9 on top of Android 9 Pie and sports 6.35-inch HD+ (720x1544 pixels) display with a waterdrop notch at the top. It is powered by a MediaTek Helio P22 SoC and gets 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.
Vivo Y15 has a triple camera setup at the back consisting of a 13-megapixel primary camera with an f/2.2 aperture, 8-megapixel super-wide angle lens with f/2.2 aperture and a 120-degree field-of-view and a 2-megapixel depth sensor with an f/2.4 aperture. It also has a 16-megapixel selfie camera with an f/2.0 aperture at the front.
