Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi has marked its debut in the United Kingdom by launching the latest flagship Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro. Speaking at the launch in London, Xiaomi’s senior vice president Wang Xiang, said: “Today we witness a new chapter in Xiaomi’s global expansion journey, underpinned by our global ambitions. We are thrilled to make great strides by announcing our arrival in the UK.” Previously, the Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro was only available in China.

The notch on Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro resembles that of the iPhone X, while around the back, one of the colour options is a translucent shell that shows off a set of smartphone components. An in-display fingerprint reader is the highlight novelty with the Mi 8 Pro.
Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro specifications
Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro has a 6.21-inch (2248 × 1080 pixels) Full HD+ 18:7:9 AMOLED display.
The smartphone has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 @ 2.8GHz chipset with Adreno 630 GPU and is packed with 3,000mAh, Quick Charge 4.0+ battery. It comes with MIUI flavour Android 8.1 Oreo core. The smartphone arrives in 128 GB storage variant.
Mi 8 Pro has a 20-megapixel lens to take all the portrait selfies. The rear dual-camera setup compromises of two lenses: one 12-megapixel Samsung telephoto sensor and a 12-megapixel Sony wide angle lens which Xiaomi claims is ultra-light sensitive to take the best photos.

Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro price in UK
Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro in UK will be sold roughly at around £499 (Rs 47,000 approximately).
