Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 has started receiving the latest MIUI 9.5 update in India. The new update will give users a number of new features like revamped notifications center, quick search option, and bug fixes.
The update is expected to reach users in a couple of days. To manually check the update, all you need to go to Settings>About >System Updates.
Alongside this, the users have the option of flashing the ROM via recovery method through fastboot.
The MIUI version 188.8.131.52 NEGMIFA update for Redmi Note 5 enables users to throw their hands on various new features including the option to transfer apps, sound recorder in Screen recording, one finger gesture to enlarge notifications, etc.

The MIUI 9.5 is built on Google’s Android 7.0 Nougat. Earlier, Redmi Note 4 Qualcomm Snapdragon version, Redmi Mi Max and Redmi 4A received MIUI 9.5 Global stable ROM.
Redmi Note 5 was launched in February, and comes with Qualcomm 625 processor, 5.99 inches FHD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio, 12MP rear camera and 5MP front camera with selfie flash and a gigantic 4000 mAh battery. The 3GB RAM and 32GB storage version is priced at Rs 9,999 and the 4GB – 64GB version is priced at Rs 11,999.
