New Delhi:

Apple has finally announced an event on March 25 at the Steve Jobs theater in Cupertino, California and has also put an official tagline which says ‘’It’s show time’’. The company is expected to launch something big and if sources are to be believed Apple may launch a television and video service.

Some reports also reveals that the company is planning to introduce a streaming television service which will include subscription TV service.

This subscription is expected to be based on the layout of Netflix and Amazon Prime. Apple is also said to be in talks with HBO (which is a part of AT&T owned WarnerMedia to collaborate for the serives.

Ben Bajarin, an analyst with Creative Strategies said, ‘’While there is a chance Apple will update its iPads or Apple TV devices later this month, the event is likely to be Apple's first major media event in which hardware is not the primary focus’’.

"I don't look at that as saying Apple has given up on the (Apple smart speaker) HomePod or the Apple TV - those will be the products where Apple Music or an Apple movie experience work the best’’, he added.

Another big thing which is in focus is Apple News where users can and get access to the major publications including The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Washington Post and more.

It means it would be just like Netflix and Amazon Prime but in journalism context.

Other important announcement which are likely to be made in the event may include AIrPods 2, AirPower and iPad 5th generation.

Apple has witnessed first-ever dip in its iPhone sales during the holiday shopping period which is being considered as the major factor in the shift of company’s focus from hardware sales to television services.
