Soon after launching the new iPhone 11 series - iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max – Apple has slashed the prices of its older generation iPhone models in India. Yes, you read it right. Planning to buy an Apple iphone? Perhaps, this is the best time to get your hands on one. The revised prices are now reflecting on the Apple India website.
After the price reduction, the price for the base 64GB storage options of iPhone 7 has been set at Rs 29,990 and the 64GB storage option of iPhone XR now costs Rs 49,990 while the 128GB storage variant costs Rs 54,900. While the iPhone XS is now being retailed at 73,000, the price of iPhone 8 Plus now starts at Rs 49,900. It is to be noted that the iPhone XS Max, iPhone X have not received any price cut.
On the other hand, the iPhone 8 is now priced at Rs 39,900 for the 64GB variant and Rs 44,900 for the 128GB option. The iPhone 7 Plus 32GB and 128GB options are now priced at Rs 37,900 and Rs 42,900, respectively. The iPhone 7 is currently being sold for Rs 29,900 for the 32GB storage option and Rs 34,900 for the 128GB storage option.
It is worth mentioning here that the phones should soon be available at the new prices on Amazon, Flipkart, and other online stores.
Coming back to the newly-launched iphone devices, iPhone 11 -- the base model—will be available in 64GB, 128GB and 256GB variants priced at Rs 64,900 onwards. iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max will be available in 64GB, 256GB and 512GB variants starting at Rs 99,900 and Rs 1,09,900, respectively.
India is key market for phone makers globally. Smartphone shipment in India registered a healthy 9.9 per cent year-on-year growth at 36.9 million units in the June 2019 quarter with premium category growing at an even faster pace. Apple competes in the premium category with players such as Samsung and OnePlus.
