Reliance Jio, a Mumbai-based telecom giant, introduced two new prepaid plans for the customers in India on Tuesday. While the “2020 Happy New Year Offer” is for the existing Jio customers, the “2020 Jio Phone Happy New Year Offer” is for those clients who all are planning to buy a new Jio Phone. This comes at a time when it has become really difficult for telecom companies to retain their customers, especially in India due to having tough competition. Recently, Jio revised its tariffs by bringing new All-in-One prepaid plans.
As for the benefits under the 2020 Happy New Year Offer are concerned, the telecom giant is providing unlimited voice calls and 1.5GB high-speed data per day for 365 days at Rs 2,020. Prepaid customers recharging under the new offer will also get access to Jio apps such as JioTV, JioCinema, and JioNews, among others.
On the other hand, the 2020 Jio Phone Happy New Year Offer includes a Jio Phone worth Rs 1,500 along with unlimited voice calling benefits and 0.5GB daily high-speed data allocation for 365 days. The customers will further get SMS messages and access to Jio apps. Notably, the offer can be availed by only new Jio customers.

It is worth mentioning here that the offers are valid for a limited period. Also, the unlimited voice calling benefit under both the offers are limited for Jio-to-Jio and landline calls, whereas a fair usage policy (FUP) is applicable on calls made to non-Jio numbers.
