Nokia is launching its new smartphone Nokia 7.1 Plus in India. HMD Global, the Nokia brand licensee, has already sent out press invites for the event in New Delhi on October 11. The smartphone is coming as a successor to Nokia 7. Various leaks suggest that the smartphone is coming in two colour options - one in silver shade and the other in a brownish shade.

Nokia 7.1 Plus will have a rear-mounted circular fingerprint sensor as the primary security feature, along with the host of connectivity options in terms of 3G, 4G, GPS, Wifi, NFC Bluetooth capabilities, according to reports.
Nokia 7.1 Plus sports a 6.18 inch (15.7 cm) display with a screen resolution of 1080 x 2246 pixels and is expected to be protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass. It runs on Android v8.1 (Oreo) operating system and is powered by Octa core (2.2 GHz, Dual core, Kryo 360 + 1.7 GHz, Hexa Core, Kryo 360) processor paired with 4 GB of RAM.
The smartphone packs a 3300 mAh battery.
On the camera front, Nokia 7.1 Plus is speculated to come with dual primary camera of 12 + 5 megapixel. The handset will get a 20-megapixel selfie camera. It will support Face Detection and HDR imaging as well.
Nokia 7.1 Plus sensors include Light sensor, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Compass, Gyroscope.

Nokia 7.1 Plus is expected to be launched in Rs 20,000 to Rs 25,000 price bracket. The smartphone is likely to compete with Samsung Galaxy A7 which falls in the same price range.
