OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition was recently launched at the company's London event. The key features on the newly-launched premium smartphone include Snapdragon 855+ SoC, 4,085mAh battery and triple rear camera setup, among others. The premium smartphone is up against the Samsung Galaxy S10 and Apple iPhone 11 in India. OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren 

OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition boasts a design that has the British racing brand's iconic 'papaya' orange accents and charger set, a different rear panel design, and a case designed with composite fabric material Alcantara. 

The smartphone also features exclusive animations, themes, and wallpapers. “Lock screen features a minimalist timepiece, inspired by McLaren's timeless dashboard instrumentation," OnePlus said. For notifications, the Horizon Light has an orange option and custom made icons. 

OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition sports a 6.67-inch (1440x3120 pixels) Fluid AMOLED display with 516ppi pixel density, 90Hz refresh rate, 3D Corning Gorilla Glass protection and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. 

OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition supports dual-SIM (Nano) technology and runs on Android 10 based on OxygenOS 10.0. The premium smartphone is powered by the 2.96GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ SoC paired with Adreno 640 GPU and 12GB RAM. It offers 256GB UFS 3.0 storage with no option to expand it further. 

On the imaging front, OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition comes equipped with a triple rear camera setup in a horizontal layout. The phone’s triple rear camera setup houses a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 primary sensor, with an f/1.6 aperture, 1.6-micron pixels (4-in-1), optical image stabilisation (OIS), electronic image stabilisation (EIS). Whereas, the secondary camera features a 3x telephoto lens with an 8-megapixel sensor, an f/2.4 aperture, and 1.0-micron pixels. The third camera is an ultra-wide-angle lens with a 16-megapixel sensor, an f/2.2 aperture, and a 117-degree field of view. It is worth mentioning here that the rear camera setup is accompanied by a dual-LED flash module. 

On the front, OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition features a 16-megapixel Sony IMX471 selfie sensor. The selfie camera sensor has 1-micron pixels, an f/2.0 aperture, and EIS. 

OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition packs a 4,085mAh battery and it supports Warp Charge 30T fast charging technology. Connectivity options on the premium phone include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, NFC, GPS/ A-GPS, and a USB Type-C (v3.1 Gen 1) port. 

Sensors, on the other hand, include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, electronic compass, sensor core, laser sensor, and a proximity sensor. The device measures 162.6x75.9x8.8 mm and weighs 206 grams. Lastly, it has an in-display fingerprint scanner. 

The price for the lone 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant in India has been set at Rs 58,999. 

The phone is already available for limited quantity pre-bookings at Rs 5,000 from OnePlus exclusive stores across India. The deliveries will commence on October 18. 

However, the phone will go on open sale starting November 5 via Amazon India, OnePlus online and offline channels. 

Samsung Galaxy S10 

Launched in February 2019, Samsung Galaxy S10 comes with a 6.10-inch touchscreen display and an aspect ratio of 19:9. The phone is powered by a 1.9GHz octa-core Samsung Exynos 9820 SoC processor. 

It measures 149.90 x 70.40 x 7.80mm (height x width x thickness) and weighs 157.00 grams. The phone was launched in Prism Black, Prism Blue, Prism Green, and Prism White colours. 

It further features an IP68 rating for dust and water protection. 

Samsung Galaxy S10 runs on Android 9.0 and is powered by a 3,400mAh non-removable battery. It comes with 8GB of RAM. It also supports wireless charging and as well as fast charging. 

The smartphone on the sports a 12-megapixel primary camera with an f/1.5 aperture, a second 12-megapixel camera with an f/2.4 aperture and a third 16-megapixel camera with an f/2.2 aperture. It packs a 10-megapixel camera on the front with an f/1.9 aperture. While the rear camera setup has phase detection autofocus, the front camera features autofocus. 

Galaxy S10 runs on One UI based on Android 9.0 and packs 128GB of inbuilt storage that can be expanded up to 512GB via microSD card. It is a dual-SIM smartphone that accepts Nano-SIM cards. 

Connectivity options on Galaxy S10 include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, NFC, USB Type-C, 3G and 4G with active 4G on both SIM cards. Sensors on the phone include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, barometer, compass/ magnetometer, gyroscope, proximity sensor, and fingerprint sensor. Importantly, the Samsung Galaxy S10 supports face unlock. 

In India, Samsung Galaxy S10 costs Rs 56, 485. 

Apple iPhone 11  

Apple iPhone 11 supports dual-SIM connectivity via a Nano-SIM card slot and an eSIM. Apple iPhone 11 features a 6.1-inch Liquid Retina HD (828x1792 pixels) display with 326ppi and 625-nit peak brightness. 

The iPhone 11 runs on iOS 13 and packs the Lightning connector. The iPhone 11 is powered by A13 Bionic chip and it is rated IP68 for dust and water-resistance.  

On the imaging front, Apple iPhone 11 comes equipped with a dual rear camera setup that houses a 12-megapixel wide-angle camera (f/1.8) and 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera (f/2.4). The iPhone 11 also has a 12-megapixel selfie shooter with f/2.2 aperture. 

There is no word on the amount of RAM or battery - as it is usual for Apple. However, it claims an all-day battery life. Importantly, iPhone 11 comes with a fast charge capable up to 18W. The iPhone 11 measures 150.9x75.7x8.3mm and weighs 194 grams. 

The iPhone 11 comes in three storage variants – 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB. However, there is no word on the amount of RAM. The iPhone 11 price in India starts at Rs 64,900 for the base variant with 64GB of storage. The 128GB and 256GB storage options of iPhone 11 will cost Rs 69,900 and Rs 79,900, respectively.

In terms of the colour options, the iPhone 11 is being offered in six versions – Purple, White, Green, Yellow, Black, and Red.
