Realme 5i was originally launched in India on January 10, 2020 with the lone 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant. However, the smartphone maker has now launched the new 4GB RAM + 128GB storage option of Realme 5i. The key features on Realme 5i include 5,000mAh battery, 6.52-inch HD display, and quad rear camera setup, among others. It is to be noted that Realme 5i is a successor to Realme 3i. It is worth mentioning here that the smartphone is already being retailed in Vietnam.
The price for the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant of Realme 5i in India has been set at Rs 8,999. On the other hand, its 4GB RAM + 128GB storage option model costs Rs 9,999. Both variants of the Realme 5i are available for purchase through Flipkart and the Realme.com website. The smartphone is available in Aqua Blue and Forest Green colour options. In India, Realme 5i competes against Redmi Note 8.
Realme 5i sports a 6.52-inch HD+ (720x1600 pixels) in-cell display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and 269ppi of pixel density. The smartphone supports dual-SIM (Nano) technology and runs Android 9 Pie with ColorOS 6.0.1 on top. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC, paired with 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM. Realme 5i has an option 64GB and 128GB of onboard storage.
On the imaging front, Realme 5i comes equipped with the quad rear camera setup that houses a 12-megapixel primary sensor along with an f/1.8 lens. The primary camera is assisted by an 8-megapixel sensor that has a wide-angle f/2.25 lens, paired with two 2-megapixel sensors that have f/2.4 portrait and macro lenses on top. On the front, there is an 8-megapixel camera sensor along with an f/2.0 lens.
It packs a 5,000mAh battery. Connectivity options on the phone include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. On the other hand, sensors include an accelerometer, ambient light, gyroscope, and a proximity sensor. Also, there is a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication and an LED flash.
