Realme X, one of the most anticipated smartphones in India, was launched on June 15. The key features of the smartphone are Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC, a pop-up selfie camera, an in-display fingerprint scanner, and a decent 3,765mAh battery. It will go on sale in India from July 24 onwards. However, the company is hosting an early “Hate-to-Wait" sale for true-blue fans today.
It is to be noted that the sale will begin at 8 pm (IST) and Flipkart and Realme.com are both taking registrations for the smartphone. The Flipkart page indicates that both the 4GB and 8GB variants will be up for grabs.
Realme X: Specifications
The Realme X is equipped with a 6.53-inch full-HD+ (1080x2340 pixels) AMOLED screen with 19.5:9 aspect ratio, 91.2 percent screen-to-body ratio. It also features Gorilla Glass 5 protection and have an in-display fingerprint sensor for authentication. The dimensions of the handset is 161.2x76.9x9.4mm and it weighs 191 grams.
The Realme X is powered by a Snapdragon 710 SoC chipset clocked at 2.2GHz and comes in a total of three variants with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The smartphone runs Android 9 Pie with ColorOS 6.0.
Coming to the optics, the Realme X packs a 48-megapixel primary camera with f/1.7 aperture that is accompanied by a 5-megapixel secondary sensor with an f/2.4 lens. Also, there is a 16-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture on the front.
Other features Realme X nclude a USB Type-C port, Dolby Atmos support, 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5, GPS.
On the competition front, the Realme X will be up against Redmi K20 in the Indian market after the launch.
On the other hand, Realme X Spiderman edition is equipped with an exclusive themed UI inspired by Spider-Man. The phone also includes a customized wallpaper and icon pack. Further, the special Realme X Spider-Man: Far From Home gift box also includes a Spider-Man themed phone case, charger and a device.
Realme X: Price in India, offers
The 4GB RAM + 128GB storage variant of Realme X starts at Rs 16,999. The phone's 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model has been priced at Rs 19,999. The device will be available for purchase in Polar White and Space Blue colour options.
According to a report in India Today, the Realme X buyers will get a 10 percent instant discount on purchases made through SBI credit cards on Flipkart. The online marketplace is also offering no-cost EMI options. On the other hand, the customers will also get free Paytm First membership worth Rs 750 with the purchase of the Realme X.
Recently, Realme had come with the blind-order sale. The blind-order sale allowed buyers to pre-order the Realme X by a simple registration process and a deposit fee of Rs 100. The sale was up on July 11 and culminated on July 14, 2019.
