Redmi 8A Pro, the rebranded version for the Redmi 8A Dual, has finally gone official in the Indonesian market. The key features on Redmi 8A Pro include an octa-core processor, dual rear camera setup, and a massive 5,000mAh battery. The Redmi 8A Pro comes in three colour options and two RAM variants. It is to be noted that Redmi 8A Dual was launched in India in February this year.
The price for the 2GB + 32GB variant of Redmi 8A Pro in Indonesia has been set at IDR 1,549,000 (approx. Rs 7,100). On the other hand, the 3GB + 32GB variant of Redmi 8A Pro carried a price tag of IDR 1,649,000 (approx. Rs 7,600). The smartphone will be made available in three distinctive colours i.e. Midnight Grey, Sea Blue, and Sky White. The Redmi 8A Pro has been listed on the Redmi Indonesia website and will go on sale later this month. However, there is no information on the availability of Redmi 8A Pro in other markets.
Redmi 8A Pro supports dual-SIM (Nano) technology. The smartphone features a 6.22-inch (720x1,520 pixels) HD+ display with a pixel density of 270ppi. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by octa-core Snapdragon 439 SoC with four Cortex A52 cores clocked at 1.95GHz and four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.45GHz. Graphics are handled by the Adreno 505 GPU. The device offers RAM up to 3GB of LPDDR3 RAM.
On the imaging front, Redmi 8A Pro comes equipped with the dual rear camera setup that houses a 13-megapixel primary camera with f/2.2 aperture. The primary camera is assisted by a 2-megapixel shooter with an f/2.4 aperture. On the front, there is an 8-megapixel sensor with an f/2.0 lens that is equipped in a waterdrop-style notch.
Redmi 8A Pro offers 32GB of onboard storage which can be expanded via a microSD card. Connectivity options on the phone include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, VoLTE, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/A-GPS, 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port. Sensors onboard include an ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, compass, and accelerometer.

The device packs a 5,000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging. Redmi 8A Pro measures 156.48x75.41x9.4mm and weighs 188 grams.
