Redmi 8A Dual, the company's latest affordable phone, has finally gone official in India. The key features on Redmi 8A Dual include a 6.22-inch HD+ display, dual rear camera setup, and a 5,000mAh battery, among others. In the Indian market, Redmi 8A Dual is up against Vivo Y90. Redmi 8A Dual sports a 6.22-inch HD+ (720x1520 pixels) display with a Dot Notch design and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. There is also a 19:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone supports dual-SIM technology and runs Android 9 Pie with MIUI 11 on top. Redmi 8A Dual is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 SoC, paired with up to 3GB of RAM. The Redmi 8A Dual has 32GB of onboard storage that is expandable via microSD card (up to 512GB) through a dedicated slot.
On the imaging front, the smartphone comes equipped with the dual rear camera setup that houses a 13-megapixel primary shooter and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. On the front, there is an 8-megapixel selfie camera. Interestingly, the frontal sensor supports AI Selfie Portrait and AI Face unlock.

The price for the 2GB RAM + 32GB storage variant of Redmi 8A Dual in India has been set at Rs 6,499. On the other hand, the 3GB RAM + 32GB storage option of Redmi 8A Dual costs Rs 6,999. The smartphone comes in Midnight Grey, Sea Blue, and Sky White colour options.
Vivo Y90 measures 55.11x75.09x8.28mm and weighs 163.5 grams. It features a 6.22-inch HD+ (720x1520 pixels) screen with 88.6 percent screen-to-body ratio. Vivo Y90 runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with Funtouch OS 4.5.
The dual-SIM (Nano) Vivo Y90 is powered by quad-core MediaTek Helio A22 SoC, coupled with 2GB of RAM. The smartphone offer 16GB of onboard storage with a microSD card slot (up to 256GB). It packs a 4030mAh battery.
On the imagining front, the device sports an 8-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and a 5-megapixel selfie camera with f/1.8 aperture.
