Redmi Note 8 Pro has finally gone official in India. The key features on the newly-launched smartphone include a quad rear camera setup that houses 64-megapixel primary sensor, octa-core MediaTek Helio G90T and a 4,500mAh battery, among others. It is to be noted that the latest launch comes just days after the Chinese company reached the mark of 100 million Redmi Note users globally.

The price for the 6GB RAM + 64GB storage variant of Redmi Note 8 Pro in India has been set at Rs 14,999. While its 6GB RAM + 128GB storage option costs Rs 15,999, the top-of-the-line 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model carries a price tag of Rs 17,999. The smartphone comes in Gamma Green, Halo White, and Shadow Black colour options. It will go on sale at 12 pm (IST) from October 21 via Amazon India, Mi.com, and Mi Home stores.
As far as the sale offers are concerned, buyers can avail double data on Airtel Rs 249 and Rs 349 recharges for 10 months.
Redmi Note 8 Pro: Specifications
Redmi Note 8 Pro sports a 6.53-inch full-HD+ (1080x2340 pixels) screen with 19.5:9 aspect ratio, waterdrop-style notch and Gorilla Glass 5 on both front and back. The dual-SIM (Nano) Redmi Note 8 Pro runs on MIUI 10, based on Android 9 Pie.
The smartphone is powered by MediaTek's new gaming focussed Helio G90T SoC, paired with up to 8GB of RAM. The phone comes with liquid cooling support for the enhanced gaming experience. There are also features such as the Game Turbo 2.0 mode to please mobile gamers.
On the imaging front, Redmi Note 8 Pro sports four cameras the back. It is the first smartphone to have 64-megapixel main camera. The primary sensor is joined by the same camera setup as the Redmi Note 8 – 8-megapixel wide-angle shooter and two 2-megapixel cameras. On the front, the smartphone houses 20-megapixel selfie camera.
Connectivity options on the phone include Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, IR blaster, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. There are sensors such as an accelerometer, ambient light, gyroscope, proximity sensor, and a magnetometer. The smartphone also comes with an rear-facing fingerprint sensor.

Redmi Note 8 Pro packs a 4,500mAh battery with support of 18W fast charging. The phone measures 161.7x76.4x8.81mm and weighs 200 grams.
