Samsung Galaxy M21 has recently gone on open sale in India via the company’s stores, select retail stores, and Amazon. The key features on Samsung Galaxy M21 include Infinity-U Super AMOLED display, triple rear camera setup, and a massive 6,000mAh battery, among others. On the competition front in India, Samsung’s mid-budget smartphone is up against Vivo Y19 and LG Q60. So, News Nation brings you the comparison between Samsung Galaxy M21, Vivo Y19, and LG Q60 on the basis of specifications, features, and price.

Samsung Galaxy M21

Samsung Galaxy M21 sports a 6.4-inch full-HD+ (1080x2340 pixels) Infinity-U Super AMOLED display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The smartphone supports dual-SIM (Nano) technology and runs Android 10 with One UI 2.0 on top. Samsung Galaxy M21 is powered by an octa-core Exynos 9611 SoC, coupled with Mali-G72 MP3 GPU and up to 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM. It offers internal storage up to 128GB which can be expanded up to 512GB via microSD card.

On the imaging front, Samsung Galaxy M21 comes equipped with the triple rear camera setup that houses a 48-megapixel primary shooter. The primary camera is assisted with an 8-megapixel sensor and a 5-megapixel depth sensor. On the front, there is a 20-megapixel selfie camera. According to a report of NDTV’s Gadgets 360, the selfie camera is assisted by artificial intelligence (AI) based features. Also, the selfie camera supports a preloaded Face Unlock option.

Connectivity options on Samsung's newly-launched phone include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It also has a fingerprint sensor at the back. The device further has an accelerometer, ambient light, gyro, magnetometer, and a proximity sensor. Samsung Galaxy M21 packs a 6,000mAh battery that supports 15W fast charging.

The price for the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage model of Samsung Galaxy M21 in India has been set at Rs 13,499. On the other hand, the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant of Samsung Galaxy M21 costs Rs 15,499. The smartphone comes in Midnight Blue and Raven Black colour options.

Vivo Y19

Vivo Y19 features a 6.53-inch Full-HD+ (1080 x 2340 pixels) display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone supports dual-SIM (Nano) connectivity and runs Android 9 Pie with FunTouch OS 9 custom skin on top. Under the hood, the phone is powered by the MediaTek Helio P65 SoC and comes with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.

On the imaging front, Vivo Y19 comes equipped with the triple rear camera setup that houses a 16-megapixel main shooter with f/1.78 aperture, paired with an 8-megapixel wide-angle snapper with f/2.2 aperture, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. Also, there is a 16-megapixel camera with an f/2.0 aperture for selfies on the front side of the phone.

The smartphone packs a 5,000mAh battery with support for 18W Dual Engine Flash charging and features a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor for authentication. Moreover, the phone supports face unlock. However, it features a Micro-USB port for charging and file transfer, instead of the modern USB Type-C port.

Other connectivity options include Bluetooth 5.0, 2.4GHz and 5GHz dual-band Wi-Fi, GPS, USB OTG, FM radio, and more. The device measures 162.15x76.47x8.89mm and weighs 193 grams.

The price for Vivo Y19 in India has been set at Rs 13,990 for the lone 4GB RAM+64GB variant. Vivo Y19 is already available for buying through offline stores across India.

LG Q60

LG Q60 sports a 6.26-inch HD+ (1520x720 pixels) FullVision Display with a 19:9 aspect ratio and a waterdrop notch. The smartphone supports dual-SIM (Nano) technology and runs Android 9 Pie with LG UI on top. The smartphone is powered by the octa-core Mediatek Helio P22 processor, clocked at 2.0GHz, paired with 3GB RAM.

The internal storage on the phone is 64GB and it can further be expanded using a microSD card (up to 2TB).

On the imaging front, LG Q60 comes equipped with a triple camera setup that houses a 16-megapixel primary camera with an f/2.0 lens, assisted by a 2-megapixel depth sensor with an f/2.4 lens and a 5-megapixel super-wide-angle sensor with a 120-degree field of view. Interestingly, Google Lens support is also available on the phone. Also, there is a 13-megapixel camera to handle selfies and video calls.

It packs a 3,500mAh battery and relies on a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor as well as face unlock for authentication. The device measures 161.3 x 77 x 8.7mm and tips the scales at 172 grams. Connectivity options include dual SIM, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS.

Other features of the LG Q60 include a fingerprint sensor, MIL-STD 810G compliance, and DTS:X 3D Surround Sound. LG Q60 costs Rs 13,490 for the sole variant with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The phone comes in a single Moroccan Blue colour option.
