Vivo U20, the company’s latest smartphone, was recently launched in India. The key features on Vivo’s latest phone include triple rear camera setup, octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 SoC, and 5,000mAh battery, among others. On the competition front in India, Vivo U20 is up against Realme 5s. News Nation brings to you the comparison between Vivo U20 and Realme 5s on the basis of specifications, features, and price.

Vivo U20

Vivo U20 sports a 6.53-inch full-HD+ (1080 x 2340 pixels) display with a 90.3 percent screen-to-body ratio and peak brightness of 480 nits. The smartphone supports dual-SIM connectivity and runs Android Pie with Funtouch OS 9 custom skin on top. Under the hood, the device is powered by octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 SoC paired with up to 6GB of RAM.

On the imaging front, Vivo U20 comes equipped with a triple rear camera setup that houses a 16-megapixel shooter with the Sony IMX499 sensor and an f/1.8 aperture. It is mated with an 8-megapixel wide-angle sensor with an f/2.2 aperture and 120-degree field of view, and a 2-megapixel macro camera with an f/2.4 aperture. On the front, there is a 16-megapixel camera for selfies with an f/2.0 aperture.

Vivo U20 comes with 64GB storage that can further be expanded via a microSD card slot (up to 256GB). Connectivity options on the phone include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, BeiDou, GLONASS, and Galileo.

Sensors on the Vivo’s latest phone include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, magnetometer, gyroscope, and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor for authentication. The device packs a 5,000mAh battery that supports the proprietary Dual-Engine fast charging technology. Vivo U20 also gets the 18W charger. Dimensions of the device are 162.15 x 76.47 x 8.89mm and it weighs 193 grams.

The price for the base 4GB + 64GB variant of Vivo U20 in India has been set at Rs 10,990. On the other hand, the 6GB + 64GB model of Vivo U20 costs Rs 11,990 in India. Vivo U20 comes in Racing Black and Blaze Blue colour options. Vivo’s latest smartphone will go on sale starting November 28 via Amazon.in and the official Vivo e-shop.

Realme 5s

Realme 5s features a 6.5-inch HD+ (720 x 1600 pixels) display with 89 percent screen-to-body ratio and Corning Gorilla Glass 3+ protection. The smartphone supports dual-SIM (Nano) connectivity and runs Android Pie with the ColorOS 6 skin on top. Under the hood, Realme 5s is powered by the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC clocked at 2.0GHz, and it is paired with 4GB of RAM.

On the imaging front, Realme 5s comes equipped with a quad-rear camera setup that houses a 48-megapixel primary snapper that employs the Samsung ISOCELL GM1 sensor with an f/1.8 aperture. The primary camera is assisted by an 8-megapixel wide-angle shooter with a 119-degree (±1.5-degree) field of view and an f/2.25 aperture, a 2-megapixel macro lens with an f/2.4 aperture, and a 2-megapixel portrait snapper with an f/2.4 aperture. Also, there is a 13-megapixel selfie snapper on the front.

The internal storage phone carries up to 128GB which can be expanded via a microSD card (up to 256GB). Connectivity options on the newly-launched smartphone include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS/A-GPS, Beidou, Galileo, and Glonass. It packs a 5,000mAh battery. The device measures 164.4x75.6x9.3mm and weigh 198 grams. Sensors on Realme 5s include accelerometer, proximity, ambient light, gyroscope, compass, and a fingerprint sensor for authentication.

The price for the base 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant of Realme 5s in India has been set at Rs 9,999. On the other hand, the top-spec 4GB RAM + 128GB storage model of Realme 5s costs Rs 10,999. The smartphone will be made available in three colour options including Crystal Blue, Crystal Purple, and Crystal Red. The phone will go on sale starting November 29 via Flipkart and Realme.com.
