Vivo Y90 has gone official in India. Vivo Y90 was launched in India on Friday, just a day after the budget smartphone entered neighbouring country i.e. Pakistan at PKR 18,999. It is to be noted that Y90 is the second smartphone of Vivo to be launched in India this month after Z1 Pro. Vivo Y90, which will be assembled at the company's Greater Noida facility, is among the company's most affordable phones in India.
“The Y90 caters to the increasing expectations of our consumers who are on a constant look-out for a device with bigger battery and bigger display at a highly affordable price point,” said Nipun Marya, Director Brand Strategy, Vivo India, in a statement.
Vivo Y90: Specifications
Vivo Y90 measures 55.11x75.09x8.28mm and weighs 163.5 grams. It features a 6.22-inch HD+ (720x1520 pixels) screen with 88.6 percent screen-to-body ratio. Vivo Y90 runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with Funtouch OS 4.5.
The dual-SIM (Nano) Vivo Y90 is powered by quad-core MediaTek Helio A22 SoC, coupled with 2GB of RAM. The smartphone offer 16GB of onboard storage with a microSD card slot (up to 256GB). It packs a 4030mAh battery.
On the imagining front, the device sports an 8-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and a 5-megapixel selfie camera with f/1.8 aperture. The camera features include Face Beauty, Professional, Palm Capture, Voice Control, Flash, Video, Time-Lapse, Slow, Time Watermark, Model Watermark, Face Beauty, Palm Capture, Voice Control, Selfie Lighting, Video and Time Watermark.
Interestingly, the cheapest smartphone in Vivo’s Y series also offer face unlock support. Connectivity options include 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS and FM Radio. The smartphone also features support for USB-OTG, a 3.5mm audio jack, and Micro-USB 2.0 port.
Vivo Y90: Price
The price of Vivo Y90 has been set at Rs 6,990 and it will be offered in Black and Gold colour options.
In other news, the Vivo Y91 is available for sale from today onwards (July 27, 2019) via all major e-commerce websites as well as Vivo-partner offline retailers.
