Xiaomi Mi A3, a successor of Mi A2, will be launched in India today. The key features of Xiaomi Mi A3 include triple-camera setup, in-display fingerprint sensor and an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 chipset. Xiaomi Mi A3 is the company’s third smartphone to run stock Android One program. It is to be noted that the Mi A3 launch will officially take place at 12 pm today.
In the meantime, Amazon India has put the ‘Notify me’ listing page, which suggests that the Xiaomi Mi A3 will be made available exclusively through the e-commerce website. However, it is being expected that the Xiaomi Mi A3 will also be made available via smartphone maker’s official website mi.com.
It is worth mentioning here that the Xiaomi Mi A3 first went official in Spain last month.
Xiaomi Mi A3: Specifications
Xiaomi Mi A3 features a 6.08-inch HD+ (720x1560 pixels) AMOLED display. It comes equipped with stock Android 9 Pie operating system. Xiaomi Mi A3 is a downgrade from FHD+. However, the phone gets an AMOLED panel instead of LCD which allows for an in-display fingerprint sensor.
Xiaomi Mi A3 comes equipped with a waterdrop-style notched display design, Gorilla Glass 5 protection, and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, Xiaomi Mi A3 sports an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 chipset. The device comes with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The internal storage is expandable via microSD card.
On the imagining front, Xiaomi Mi A3 houses a triple-camera setup at the back, including a 48-megapixel primary f/1.78 sensor. It is paired with an 8-megapixel wide-angle lens and a 2-megapixel sensor for depth sensing. The smartphone also has the 32-megapixel selfie camera at the front.
Xiaomi Mi A3 runs Google's Android One software and this means no third-party apps can be installed. Xiaomi Mi A3 packs a 4,030mAh battery with support for USB Type-C 18W fast charging. It measures 153.48x71.85x8.5mm. Connectivity options on the phone include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, USB Type-C and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
