Barsana women celebrate Lathmar Holi with Nandgaon men in Mathura

People in huge numbers celebrated the popular Lathmar Holi in Uttar Pradesh’s Barsana. Barsana women playfully beat men from Nandgaon by the lath (cane). According to traditions, Barsana women are considered as friends of Goddess Radha, while Nandgaon men are assumed friends of Lord Krishna. People from across the country reached in Barsana to celebrate the special Holi event.
