Markets across New Delhi decked-up with fresh range of glittering gold and silver jewelleries as the festival of lights Diwali coming nearer. There is a strong belief that buying precious metals on the auspicious day brings prosperity. Buying activity was more pronounced in gold and silver coins on the occasion. Dhanteras is largely celebrated in northern and western part of India.
