As Diwali is approaching, markets across the country geared up for the festival of lights. Jaipur preserved a centuries-old cracker market which was established by Hindu King Man Singh. Cracker makers (Shorgarh family) were brought to Jaipur from Afghanistan. The Muslim family who is making and selling crackers for the Hindu festival is now a symbol of communal harmony.
