After almost two months of the anti-Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) protest in Shaheen Bagh, the Centre has finally said that it is ready to talk to the protestors. The proposal for a dialogue comes just a week before Delhi is slated to vote for the Assembly election. Shaheen Bagh falls in the Okhla constituency. The area has become the epicentre of anti-CAA protests in the national capital and the agitation has been thrusted by political parties into a poll issue.
