The gangrape of a Hyderabad-based veterinary doctor whose body was set on fire and dumped under a bridge has sent shockwaves through India, with hundreds of people taking to the streets in protest. The protestors are demanding the accused to be hanged. The police investigation says that the four accused punctured the rear wheel of doctor’s scooter, offered to help her, dragged her to a secluded spot close to a toll plaza and gangraped her.
