Indonesia: 168 killed, over 600 injured in Sunda Strait Tsunami

At least 168 people were killed and over 600 were injured after waves hit the coast around Indonesia’s Sunda Strait caused by undersea landslides from a volcanic island leading to a Tsunami. “Dozens of buildings were destroyed by the wave, which hit beaches without warning in South Sumatra and the western tip of Java about 9.30 pm local time (1430 GMT) on Saturday,” national disaster agency spokesman Sutopo Purwo Nugroho said in a statement.
