Lok Sabha to take up Triple Talaq Bill on December 27

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) would push for Triple Talaq Bill in the Lok Sabha on December 27. The Centre on Tuesday sought compulsory attendance from all Lok Sabha members when the Bill will be discussed. The new Bill will deem the practice ‘illegal’, with the husband supposedly facing a prison sentence of three years.
