MP gearing up for assembly elections to be held on November 28

Madhya Pradesh is gearing up for the upcoming assembly elections on November 28. While the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) under Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is fighting to retain the power for the fourth consecutive time, the Indian National Congress (INC) will be contesting to regain the power it lost in 2003. The Madhya Pradesh assembly has 230 constituencies and the tenure of the existing legislative assembly ends on 7 January 2019.
