Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and Rajya Sabha member GVL Narasimha Rao on Wednesday reiterated that the Citizenship Amendment Bill will be passed in the House. Giving out the example of passing previous bills, GVL Narasimha Rao stated that CAB is constitutional and non-NDA parties will support it. The Citizenship Amendment Bill, which seeks to grant citizenship to non-Muslim immigrants from Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan if they faced religious persecution there, was passed in the Lok Sabha with 311-80 votes on Monday night.
